Today, the annual Vitality 10K run will take place across Central and the City of London.
Approximately 20,000 participants will race from a
starting point on the Mall to finish at Spur Road via Trafalgar Square, Duncannon
Street, Strand, Aldwych, Fleet Street, Chancery Lane, High Holborn, Holborn
Viaduct, Newgate Street, Cheapside, King Street, Gresham Street, Lothbury,
Bartholomew Lane, Threadneedle Street, Queen Victoria Street, Cannon Street,
New Change, Newgate Street, Holborn Viaduct, New Fetter Lane, Fetter Lane,
Fleet Street, Strand, Aldwych, Strand, Whitehall, Great George Street and Birdcage
Walk.
Extensive road closures to facilitate the event will be
implemented from 0700 hours, with all roads, with the exception of Royal Parks
roads, expected to be re-opened by 14:00.

ROUTES 1, 68, 176, 188 are currently on diversion for emergency
gas works taking place at Waterloo Road, SE1 under reference D94811.

taking place northbound at New Bridge Street, EC4 under NOE CE26/85435/A.
